While on a business trip to Florida my nephew and his wife came to visit for a day.  We spent a day shopping at consignment and antique stores. There were numerous items that would sell quickly online but most items were simply too high.  The owners and clerks were unwilling to reduce the prices so they lost a sale rather than take a bit less.   We also noticed that other customers were leaving without purchasing anything for the same reason we did.   During my attempt at negotiating, my nephew came up with the concept of a site that would take merchandise, either on consignment or outright purchase.   It would be called "Ifyoucantsellit.com".

This is how "ifyoucantsellit.com" works.  While out and about I find a wonderful item but also find that it  is overpriced.  The owner wants to keep the item at the listed price for a week or two longer.  I make an offer, in writing, for the item.   If the item does not sell, they have the option of accepting my offer by simply visiting our website.  No fuss, no fees, no inventory collecting dust on a shelf.
